The funny thing is, the most common phrase we hear when our customers pick up their apparel is "you make signs?" We are starting another blog series where we will take you through all the fun things we create for our loyal customers at ISTS!
Let's start with apparel! About 65% of our business is apparel. We create online stores for customers - mostly businesses and schools. (We also do lots of fundraisers.) We pride ourselves in making it easy for our customers to pick from the many high-quality items we offer and provide great customer service. At ISTS, we use screen-print transfers for 99% of our clothing orders. (We also do heat transfer cut vinyl and heat transfer printable vinyl when necessary for a project!) Screen print transfers are screen-print ink printed onto paper instead of directly to the garment. We press the screens on our garments for quality apparel pieces that last. Screen print transfers are a great tool for the many businesses we work with because we don't have a set-up fee for new runs of apparel. When businesses hire new employees, we can get a few pieces ready very quickly for them. Unlike large screen-print companies, we don't have to go through the screen cleaning and burning process, so our minimums can be low for our repeat customers! See the process here.
